Cold Weather Rowing

Hypothermia occurs when a victim is subject to cold temperatures, cold water, ice or snow. There is potential danger for hypothermia when the water temperature is below 80 degrees and very dangerous when the water temperature is below 50 degrees. Symptoms include feeling cold, turn bluish and shivering, and followed by numbness, apathy, lethargy, disorientation and loss of mental capacity.  If you are planning to row in the cold weather you MUST read the USRowing Safety Guidelines.

Fall/Winter V8 Rows

We will try to get 2 boats out every Sat & Sun mornings 8AM-9:30AM and 9:30-11. Sign up will be through the CRC reservation log.  Contact Gina Loeber gina-iis@verizon.net with questions.

Guest Rowing

Please remember that guest rowers are permitted to row 3 times. Guest names must be recorded in the computer and written log, and a USRowing waiver must be completed and left on the cabinet BEFORE the row.  If the guest is a member of another boat club and equipment sharing is happening (time is spent in both CRC and the other club's equipment) the rule of 3 does not apply.  You should bring this situation to Cap'n Bob's attention. Complete information about guest rowing is in the Guidebook under the Members tab.

Annual Waivers

IMPORTANT!!!!!  All members must complete a USRowing Waiver and a Camden County Release ANNUALLY. You are NOT permitted to row without completing BOTH.  Your name will NOT be placed on the reservation log until your waivers are received.

Complete the USRowing Waiver on line 2011 Sign your USRowing Waiver on Line - OR - download and print a 2011 USRowing Waiver.  The  2011 Camden County Release can not be done on line.  Paper copies can be: (1) left in the waiver folder on the cabinet in the boat bay, (2) mailed to the POBox, (2) scanned and e-mailed to CRCMembers@gmail.com

Oars

Club oars are located along the wall at the end of our bay near the hose.  They are all Concept II's, and most have green collars, a few with black collars.  There is one set of Crokers with pink collars. All are painted CRC red and black with a yellow C on the blades.

There is a rack running parallel to the boats between our bay and the private boat bay.  There are no CRC club oars in that rack.  There are currently a few sets of private oars stored there, with blades that look identical to CRC club blades.  The privately owned oars are all Crokers with bright pink sleeves and the owners names written on them.  Please do not use or move these oars, or any other privately owned oars, without permission from the owner.
